Courageous Steps is a gentle, child led school holiday group facilitated by Shevaun Pope (AuDHDer Speech Therapist) that supports kids as they prepare for a new year and transition back to school. This group is for neurodivergent children aged 8 to 11 who will benefit from a calm space where their communication styles, sensory needs, and autonomy are respected. We created Courageous Steps to offer a relaxed, validating environment where neurodivergent kids can explore what returning to school might feel like, share their own experiences, and build confidence in expressing their needs. The group will support children to understand and communicate about energy levels using Spoon Theory, practise self advocacy in ways that feel safe, and connect with others who share similar lived experiences.
This group will be held in our Yarraville, Melbourne space on Wednesday 14th January at 2.30pm to 4.30pm AEDT and is $90 per person.
