You share your story with us, let us share ours with you.

  • HOW WE MET.

We are Seanna and Claire, the directors, and are so pleased to meet you. Just like you share your story with us, we thought we would share ours with you. We first met in 2017 while working together at The Queensland Children’s Gender Service. It was through our similar approach to therapy and overlapping values, that we grew a strong working relationship, and friendship.

  • BETTER TOGETHER.

Over the years we worked closely together, learning from one another and appreciating how each of our unique experiences and skills, complemented each other’s. In 2020 we found ourselves working alongside each other in our separate private practices (Claire’s previous practice, Finding Your Voice Therapy and Seanna’s previous practice, Connect and Reflect). We co existed for a year or so before deciding – we are better together.

  • BEING COURAGEOUS.

Working so closely together, we realised our shared passion to provide a unique service to our amazing clients. We acknowledge that many people from the LGBTIQAP+ and neurodivergent communities have had negative experiences accessing healthcare. This makes reaching out, and trying again an incredibly courageous act. Our soul purpose is to ensure your courage is met with care, compassion and safety. This is why we created The Courageous Space.

Values are practices that underpin how we think, behave and navigate life. At The Courageous Space, we do our best to show up and practice through these values.
