How do you access us?

  • Medicare:

    You can get a care plan from your GP. Please note that there are different

    • For speech therapists and occupational therapists: Chronic Disease Managmenet Care Plan (CDM) can be claimed for up to 5 sessions per calendar year. You will receive a rebate of $56.00.

    • For mental health social worker: Mental Health Care Plan can be claimed for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. You will receive a rebate of $79.05.

    Helping Children With Autism:

    • If you are under 13 years of age, you may be eligible for a HCWA package which requires a referral from a psychiatrist.

    Private Health Rebate:

    • If you have have private health you may receive a rebate through this. Please see your unique private health inclusions.

  • NDIS participants are charged at the recommended NDIS fee.

    It is currently $193.99 per 50 mins.

    Additional meetings or documentation will be charged per hour.

    We currently see self and plan managed participants only.

  • Please make an enquiry to find out about the supervision our therapists provide.

  • Please contact us for quotes as these are tailored to suit your educational needs.

    • All Initial and Assessment Appointments:

      ~ Speech Therapy: $232.80 per 50-minute appointment (direct support) and 10-minute indirect support.

      ~ Social Work: $232.80 per 50-minute appointment (direct support) and 10-minute indirect support.

      ~ Psychology: $257.30 per 50-minute appointment (direct support) and 10-minute indirect support.

    • All Subsequent Appointments:

      ~ Speech Therapy: $193.99 per 50-minute appointment

      ~ Social Work: $193.99 per 50-minute appointment

      ~ Psychology: $214.41 per 50-minute appointment

    Additional Reporting or documentation, meetings or liaison that exceed 15 mins will be charged at the hourly rate.

    Cancellation Policy: We understand life happens and sometimes you cannot make it to appointments. Due to high demand of services, we ask that you provide 24 hours notice. If you cancel within a 24 hour period, the full fee (100%) will be charged and needs to be paid prior to rebooking.

  • NEW CLIENTS.

    If you think The Courageous Space is for you, please give us a call or send an email with your details. Our client support officer will then support you through the intake process.

  • CURRENT CLIENTS.

    If you are a current client of The Courageous Space, there are two ways you can manage your appointments. You can use our online booking systems or contact our client support officer.

    We use a term by term booking structure, which means you will have access to your therapists calendar one term at a time.

  • RETURNING CLIENTS.

    If you have previously been a client of The Courageous Space and are returning after six months, please contact our client support officer. They will support you through the returning client intake process.
